It was evening and the Sandwiches were in the fridge, discussing the latest news.
"Did you know," said Cheesie, the Cheese and Tomato Sandwich, "that a young human called Simon has come to our house for a holiday?"
Eggie, the Egg and Cress Sandwich, pondered a moment.
"I wonder what he's like", he said.
"Maybe we'll see him tomorrow, if we go out," suggested Chickie, the Chicken Salad Sandwich.
"I hope so," added Hammie, the Ham Sandwich. "I like it when we get young humans staying with us."
She and the others talked on for a while before going to sleep.
